Unable to get Worlds 2 Mission to Trigger

Does anyone know what prerequisites you need to get the new drive quest to trigger? I played for about 4 hours last night trying to complete missions to get caught up, but was never able to and got soft locked on the Traces of Metal mission trying to visit the beacon. Am I screwed until that bug is fixed? Any help is much appreciated!
