Why all the small conveniences stores are turning in to disposable vape shops?

I’m just looking for small stores that sell everyday items like bread, pasta, and basic groceries somewhere nearby so I don’t have to drive to Walmart. But over the last few years, all these small shops have been turning into disposable vape stores with tinted windows.

Now, most of them are 19+ only, so you can’t even send your kid to pick up a few things. Instead, you have to deal with the chaos of Walmart just for a pack of pasta. It’s getting frustrating. And it’s not just in New Westminster I’m seeing the same thing all over Vancouver.

Is there anything that can be done about this?
