Who should do a minor tongue tie?

Hi there!

Though my wife has been successfully breastfeeding, it can be uncomfortable sometimes due to my (two week old) son’s diagnosed tongue tie. From parents groups, the pediatrician, etc. we have heard multiple names of doctors who can do it (ENTs and dentists?) and then this one guy is always mentioned as the best in the city and of course doesn’t take insurance.

I could imagine wanting to go to “the best” for a more complicated tongue tie, is there much of a risk in going to a … less than “best” ENT or dentist? Or should I go to the guy that everyone recommends?! Seems like we’re risking needing a revision if it isn’t done right the first time, but otherwise are there other considerations we should be thinking of? Thanks!
