My first time painting Warhammer

I painted my Army already but I didn’t like the blades I painted originally. So my friend started with Warhammer 2 Months before I started and convinced me to begin but he paint way better then I do and after we played two games I know want to improve my mini figures. And know I'm happy with the Blades but not with the body, how should I paint them? Maybe with other Colours?
