How to tell parents your rates

Hey all. I’m curious to know how you guys go about telling a parent your rates. Whenever I get asked to babysit they always skip over how much it’ll be and I have to be the one to bring it up. I usually say something like:

“Awesome! So excited to see kiddo. Just to let you know my going rate for X amount of kiddos will be $XX”

This seems blunt but I don’t know how else to get it across. I haven’t yet had a bad reaction. Just want to make sure I am doing it respectfully and professionally.
