Snacks
I’m so over the “kids just need snacks all the time” thing! I feed kids roughly every two hours, breakfast, small healthy snack offered, lunch, another snack offered, dinners not far off by then. But I can’t imagine why parents feel it’s better to make sure kids never feel hunger than it is to give them a chance to fill themselves with a good meal. I’m not even talking about picky kids. Literally got to work at 8am, MB said he woke up at 745, and he already had a snack cup of veggie straws and a chocolate chip granola bar. So no he didn’t eat any breakfast.
Yesterday at a different home I get to work at 12 (NK2 usually naps around 12:30) and NK hasn’t had lunch but has 4 different snack cups because she loves saying “I’m so hungry” all the time. I don’t think she knows what she’s saying as she’ll say it after eating any meal and telling me she’s all done. But either way why does she need four different snacks and not just a meal. Just make some eggs or pbj at that point right? So I make her lunch at DB request and she doesn’t eat anything but an apple slice.
Anyways. Rant over
