Issue with Shot Tendencies

Created a player I've been simming the career of in the Modern Era. Everything about the sim seems fine except for points and shot tendencies. How the hell in a 7 game playoff series, as a 94 OVR, with 99 shot tendency do you average 16 PPG? Not to mention the shooting splits are some of the worst I've ever seen from a player like this while simming. 5-23 and 2-12 from 3? How does this even happen?
