Is my plan worth it?
I’m getting ready to graduate high school and I am going to attend the University of North Texas for mechanical engineering. My passion is racing, but being from south texas, the racing scene isn’t very huge, so I was never able to race as a child, but I don’t really care about that. I just want to be an automotive engineer for either NASCAR or a team. Basically my plan is that once I (hopefully) graduate from UNT, I will move to North Carolina and then attend the NASCAR Technical Institute. By the time I should be graduating UNT, I will have received a good amount of money from a lawsuit when I was 10 which I believe to be more than enough to help me move to North Carolina from Texas. Do you think pursuing this path is even worth it? Or is moving so far for a career that isn’t even guaranteed dumb?
