how to discover new music?

I heard that people tend to check record labels and top 100 leaderboards for discovering new music.

Any advice if I wanna discover some new genres of music? I really fell in love with drum and bass a few years a go when I was exploring edm type genres, and would love to find different sub genres of stuff like metal and such.

I usually tend to listen about 10 hours worth of music a day and I usually sometimes listen to 10+ albums a day. The now thats what I call music CD's have definitely helped broaden my taste in music a bit, but its mainly pop and classic rock on those, and I would love to discover new more underground artists or just artists that are somewhat known in the smaller rock scene like classic 80s rock artists like Airbourne
