Intent to Recall Certain 2022-2024 XSR900, 2021-2025 MT-09, 2021-2025 MT-09 SP, 2021-2022 Tracer 9 GT, 2024 Tracer 9 GT+, 2022-2025 MT-10, and 2022~2025 MT-10 SP Motorcycles - STOP SALE - Yamaha Motor Company, Ltd. has decided that a defect exists in certain 2022-2024 XSR900, 2021-2025 MT-09, 2021-2025 MT-09 SP, 2021-2022 Tracer 9 GT, 2024 Tracer 9 GT+, 2022-2025 MT-10, and 2022-2025 MT-10 SP motorcycles. loss of control and a crash with severe injury or death. To correct this issue, Yamaha is initiating a Factory Modification Campaign. Affected motorcycles that are new and unused must have the ECU reprogrammed with the latest updated version. Motorcycles that have been in operation must have both the ECU reprogrammed and the TPS replaced with a countermeasure part.
