After playing, how's everyone feeling about the voiced hunter and palico?

Personally I think for the typical gameplay loop voicing the palico was utterly pointless. They have about 5 lines of dialogue which is all just overexplaining what's happening in the hunt with very little charm. As for the hunter I'm pretty sure the only time mine said anything at all was finding camping spots.

On the other hand, I was actually pleasantly surprised by both in the opening story mission. The hunter had a small bit of charm (albeit miniscule) like when hopping on the seikret for the first time. The palico felt like my favorite aspects of them in world, they feel like an actual partner to your hunts. Their dialogue treated them as almost an equal to the hunter. Giving advice to watch their flanks and such making them more then just a comic relief character.

I believe that they actually could make this a great choice if they alter some palico dialogue (voiced or not) in general gameplay to give it much more of the palico charm rather then what feels like Dora telling me what our goal is. If the hunter had a few lines directed to the palico I think that'd be great too. Maybe they occasionally ask if they're okay after a strong hit, thank them for the heal/status cleanse or congratulate them trapping a monster. Make the typical gameplay feel in line with how you play with them in your camp, they're kinda bros not pet and owner.

With all of this and Alma following you around (who I think could also use a little more interactivity) they could easily make you feel like a proper team.
