10 days post surgery, incredible nerve pain (23M)

TLDR: Worst pain in my entire life. Pre surgery symptoms jumped from 5 to 10. Unilateral lower leg nerve pain. Anyone else had this happen?

Got a microdisectomy by endoscopy on a mild-severe disc bulge L4-L5 left side only. I had been having 4-7 levels of pain consistent for a 10 months. Released from the hospital 2 days later, there was a csf leak. 4 days later im doing good, walking and resting just fine.

Over the past 5 days my left leg pain has truly reached its worst. I have never experienced true pain until now, definitely a 9-10. It only hurts on my left leg, in the same place and fashion as pre surgery. Laying down it's a constant, but managable 5, but standing for more than 1 minute gives incredible pain. When standing, every 5-10 seconds My calve and shin pulse with buring stabbing pain. My doc says it's nerve irritation or inflammation, and gave me a cycle of methylprednisolone which will be finished tomorrow. Have any of you had this happen? Any solutions?

Trying to be positive: My back feels good. The incision hurts sometimes, but it's a grain of sand compared to my leg.
