What are these 2 plugs for?

Bought a MX5 a few weeks ago which came with no radio so there's a gaping hole in the centre. Previous owner had cut off one of the plugs for the stereo, one is still intact. However there are these 2 other plugs here which I have no idea what they're for.

I've tried wiring up a replacement radio with the 2 normal plugs but I'm getting no sound so I'm wondering if these are something to do with it

1996, 5 speed, 1.6L, UK if that makes any difference.
