Oxbow start

Hello,

New to the game. I started Oxbow and at the beginning when talking to the quartermaster he mentioned something about all the supplies I need will be near so and so’s house but there was no quest marker or anything else indicating this. Is there actually a place with free starting supplies or did I misunderstand? Thanks!
