Fragments do not seem like random events

These seem very not random to me and tend to cluster in statistically unlikely scenarios after grinding for a long time. Is this some Nexon trick to get our brains to release more dopamine and keep grinding for the next fragment hit?

Assuming a drop rate of 1/1500, which is reasonable given the aggregated datasets the community put together earlier, I should be seeing approximately 10 fragments per hour at 15k mobs/hr or 250 mobs/minute. This is close to what I see, but the way I see them always follows a strange pattern, where there's 0-2 fragments for ~30minutes then a burst of 5-6 fragments in ~5minutes. Seeing 5 or more fragments in 1250 mobs at a drop rate of 1/1500 is a less than 0.2% chance, yet I see it nearly every WAP. Not as crazy as before, but seeing 2 or fewer fragments in 7500 mobs is an ~12% chance, and I see it every WAP.

Are these statistically impossible or proof that fragments are not random events? No, but considering how often it happens to me, and given that bursts of fragments release more dopamine and keep us grinding longer, I am inclined to believe they specifically programmed them like this.
