The Curious Case of Malayalam Movie Troll Paged
This certain kind of troll pages follows the same format of old Facebook movie trolls and infact most of these pages started off as a Facebook page and later shifted or branched out to Instagram with its gaining popularity. These kind of Trolls and Troll pages were really popular on Instagram during 2013-21. Although these pages have a considerable amount of followers, the kind of engagement they have now is way less than what they had during that time.
Personally I have felt thier recent trolls to be outdated with cringe text. While most of their topics are repeated, many old trolls are reposted. The trolls feels like the cheap buildup given to the hero by the supporting cast.
Since the past 2 years most of their trolls are just paid promtions and the trolls are made in such a way that its so obvious that they are paid. With this they have lost their genuinity and credibility.
Another aspect that I have personally disliked is how they obsess over a certain movie or character for the first weeks of the release to a point where one genuinely loses interest to watch that certain film. These troll pages that glorify characters by adding "sigma" captions and catchy music. Most of their audience consists of teens and young adults who mistakenly view these deeply flawed characters as ideal role models. Also most of these kind of pages have an "Ammavan take" on things, maybe a hangover from their FB days.
This is just my personal opinion, what is your take on this
