Pops and bangs without sport mode

Since I came across a few posts concerning the topic of achieving Pops and Bangs in Sport Mode using BimmerCode in a Mini without driving mode selector, I wanted to share my experience and highlight a specific older post in this subreddit.

In my 2015 F55 Cooper S - without driving mode selector - I finally achieved to code Sports mode by following these steps:

Most tutorials and videos don’t mention the additional steps in expert mode, which were necessary, at least for me.

Now, the car displays „sport“ and even pops and bangs like crazy when downshifting or releasing throttle.

Additionally, steering is stiffer, exhaust is slightly louder and throttle response sharper.

Since the lack of a driving mode selector, my Mini is now always in Sport Mode and the only way to change driving modes would be to code them via BimmerCode. But let’s be honest, why would anyone ever not drive in Sport Mode…

I’m quite happy with the results, but they might be dependent on the year of production. I’d be happy if this might help someone.
