I’m loving this game but…

Why is there SO MANY instances where I have no control over the game and I’m just auto running to the next obj. It takes me out of the fun of the game. What makes it even more annoying is the game will have the option to sprint but your sekrit won’t sprint cause you need to go at a certain speed for the dialogue. It’s so annoying.
