Is the mdcat exams end news true?

My friend sent me the link from a geo news video saying that mdcat was ending now and stuff and that those who gave improvement exams this will not be accepted to medical universities or something.So what's for the future of us now I'm a pre med student and am really confused for what holds in the future.
