Tim's Fashion Choices

This is gonna sound shallow but...

Do the producers have a say in how the participants of the show dress? And if so, are they advising that Tim dresses like a teenager from 2014?

The clothes he's wearing are way too young for him and aren't flattering. That's not a comment on his body (I'm a chubby guy).

I'm sure that I read somewhere the producers advise for the dinner parties, but not sure how far that advice goes?
