Fretboard Damage?
Hi everyone,
I’ve recently inherited a fender guitar and have a question about the condition of the neck.
The fret wires themselves seem to be in decent shape, but the rosewood fingerboard seems to have very slightly worn down between the frets in places (particularly at fret 3 & 5 - see pics)
I’ve never seen wear like this on a fretboard before (maybe an attempt at “rolling the edges” gone wrong?)
It doesn’t affect the playability at all, but is this likely to become a problem in time? Would it be possible to level or refret a board like this in the future, as the remaining rosewood does appear to be quite thin in places?
Any thoughts you guys have would be greatly appreciated by my entirely novice self! Thanks to all in advance
