New Baby

This is my new baby Ares. I just got him literally 2 days ago. He’s three years old, hand raised and was recently surrendered. He’s not that great with hands so we’re working on that, but he wants them he LOVES scritches!! I’ve noticed he’s does this around his treat dish (separate dish because my conure is a meanie) is he being territorial? Or is he excited? This is my first ever Lovebird and I’ve already noticed differences between how he communicates with body language and my conure Lulu. I just want to make sure I’m learning correctly so his transition into our home is smooth and he feels safe and loved ❤️
