Questions about Modafinil

I recently had an appointment with a neurologist and she suggested I try taking Modafinil. I’m wondering if anyone has found this drug anxiety inducing? I have a history of anxiety predating my LC, and my baseline of anxiety has become higher since my LC began. Other prominent symptoms are extreme brain fog, PEM, muscle tension (particularly in neck and back). If you take Modafinil, what was your starting dosage? Has it helped?
