Lightworks crashes when opening a project

So I was editing a video and I went to place an audio file onto the audio track (one which i've used before in a previous video) when all of a sudden lightworks crashed on me, this happens somewhat frequently so i just opened lighworks again thinking nothing of it, when i went to open the project however it crashed again... and again... and again.

It only ever seems to do it for the one specific project though, all my old projects open up no problem.

I've tried restoring items from backup(s), i've tried moving onto an external drive then deleting it and replacing it but i'm also kind of a noob with computers in general so i know i've not tried everything.

btw I'm using Lightworks 2021.3 free version and my PC specs are definitely not sub-par for the program
