"Flow" is one of the best movies of 2024 (Releasing soon in most countries)
I went to the movies this morning to watch this just because there was a cat in the poster and it was such a beautiful surprise, and since it's not a very famous movie i wanted to share it so more people can watch it!
The story follows a cat trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world that has been completely flooded, and the most important feature of the film is that there is no dialogues at all, the whole movie is purely visual storytelling, the personality of the animals, their emotions, their relationships with other animals is shown with gestures and movements which is really beautiful. And also in case you have kids i HIGHLY recommend watching this movie with them, it's really easy to understand and almost every kid loves animals, and let me tell you this movie has a lot of them. Also most of the public was just adults with their kids and when i left i saw that most of the kids were happy and some even cried so if your child loves animals then they will love this. Alsoooo there are a lot of tense scenes and some sad scenes which personally made me drop some tears, so yeah i drop this as a warning haha.
And finally my favorite thing about this film is the breathtaking scenery, everything about this movie is extremely beautiful, like the score is really epic and it's really well placed but seriously the cinematography and shots on this movie are so gorgeous. There is a scene on this movie towards the end that i kid you not is one of the most beautiful scenes i have ever seen in a movie, so yeah if you can watch this in the big screen PLEASE DO.
Some things that reminded me to this movie in case you need more information before watching:
-Life of Pi - The survival in a boat with many animals that slowly realise that they need each other to survive reminded me a lot to this movie (and the beautifully cinematography)
-The game Stray (2022) - Literally the exact same vibe, highly recommend playing the game before watching the movie.
