Ally Z1E To Legion Go
I recently sold my Ally Z1E and am planning to buy a legion go, the detachable controllers and larger screen pulled me this direction. I loved my Ally Z1E and had absolutely no problems, it was a simple pick up and play solution for busy days, and the software was generally pretty friendly. I have a couple questions making the transition though.
How is Lenovo’s software on this device? Can anyone that’s had experience with both let me know if it is similarly “user friendly”? I’m pretty used to tech and messing with settings but still a concern.
Does windows operate similarly to the portable ally version? Sorry may not be explaining this right but windows on the Ally was tweaked a little to work better without a keyboard, my question I guess is if this is similar or if it’ll be closer to a laptop/desktop version?
Will not having VRR be very noticeable coming from the Ally? I play a lot of different titles, the highest graphics demanding titles being COD, NMS, or Spider-Man. Will this drive me nuts as some say?
Sorta a wild card for this last one, just looking for any general advice. If I purchase I’ll likely go used, so any suggestions or things to lookout for are appreciated. Previously had a Legion 5 Pro so am already a fan of the brand and have some familiarity in general with Lenovo.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Picked up the Legion Go last night and love it. Wish the joystick could be used as a mouse similar to the Ally (just cause I’m used to it) and that the ABXY buttons would wake it up from sleep like the Ally but I’m sure I can probably change those things in settings somewhere, overall very happy with the change, the larger screen is awesome.
