Finished my first leather project any input?

6/7 Veg tan leather with neatsfoot oil and tan-kote. Didn’t have a beveler but finished the edges best I could with sandpaper and tokinole. Any tips on better thread? Next project will have beveler and light brown dye. Any advice appreciated.
