Thoughts about the latest Pewdiepie copyright strike issue?

So yesterday Pewdiepie, a famous youtuber, uploaded a video talking about fair use of his lets play videos and how the developer of the game Firewatch has filed a DMCA takedown of Pewdiepie's Firewatch content because of a racial slur he said in a stream that is completely irrelevant to Firewatch.

There are many articles online talking about it and many different opinions. I just want to know if you guys think Pewdiepie's Let's Play videos are protected under far use?
