How to help KP providers?

I’ve noticed Kaiser providers are very quick to say “message me if you need anything” but non-HMO groups tend to want a follow-up visit. Research shows the number of messages flooding providers has dramatically increased and can worsen burnout.

I try to schedule dedicated visits with my providers to give them protected time to see me, ask their questions, and document their plan. Yet the Kaiser model always encourages me to send messages.

Can some Kaiser providers weigh in on what would actually be helpful for them?
