How did their appearance changed and why so many birds?

In previous chapter, Yuji didn't have any injuries and Sukuna's apperance was of when he was in Yuji which I considered was effect of Yuji's domain technique. But in new chapter they just changed into their actual appearance and why are there so many birds out of nowhere in Yuji's domain?
