Is Jhin Mid still viable?

Im a player that wants to pick up Jhin just because I think he is Riots best designed champion and is way to cool fir me to not play, problem is I am allergic to botlane and dealing supports. I heard that he can go mid so I was wondering if he is good there and if so what I should build on him. Any advice would be much appreciated thx in advance!
