Pro JB but am wondering....

I've been pro JB on the SH claims but am having questions... Like all of us, will have to wait until court to hear what happened. But here is where I'm at today.

Briefly - So I've followed BL and RR on social media for a while. Fan of Ryan, just followed BL since she's RR's wife. So last summer, see the movie stuff in my feed. Like others, I also notice that the guy starring opposite her (I had never heard of him) isn't with her in any events. I read comments. Look around, see he is promoting separately. No castmates with him. I wonder what happened.... Get to December, BL files complaint/suit. I skim thru it, think "oh! that's why." No reason not to believe her.

THEN - I see the dancing video from JB's side, watch it. Go back to read BL's suit more closely this time. I am just not agreeing with BL suit. THEN read JB suit and timeline he puts out. Read both sides' suits again. I find myself siding with JB on the harassment stuff.

BUT - I just can't get past why everyone in the cast, plus another producer (Alex Saks), plus Hoover, and so on are ALL siding with BL.

So is there stuff BL left out of her suit?? Seems pretty clear to me when I read it. Not sure what surprises she might have in court.

Saks posted a link to the NYT article. Brandon does also. Jenny makes a statement. And so on. BUT -- they all seem related to the attack on BL's reputation. So is it just that - the alleged smear campaign - that they believe and hold against JB??? Or do they agree that she and others was sexually harrassed also?

I am still not seeing the SH parts of this. But let's say I can see the uncomfortable, weird, set vibes. Speculating based on what has been said. You've got a director/costar, producer and maybe others there who are just very open about things, talk about anything, get to telling you personal stuff you really don't want to hear. Apparently people like to come up and hug you or put arm around you, touchy stuff, you're not a hugger. It seems whenever women bring up something to change, have suggestions, they get brushed aside, director seems annoyed, he gets moody. Maybe comments made back seem a bit mean? Director is an overly emotional person; comes to your trailer and cries over something about movie, leaves you voicemails.... Just all really awkward, weird to you, and you can't wait until this job is over!

So, still speculating - since Blake is the star/face of the movie and has so many ideas for it, this shows up when filming scenes. Seems more like she is directing than he is. Everyone notices. Maybe most of the women feel her perspective is correct, from a woman's view. Feel JB doesn't have a handle on the movie, not in control, not the one who should be directing.... Director is getting awfully moody and annoyed at times (wonder why? doubt others know what is behind the scenes with all the texting BL and JB do..) Thus, BL has to "save the movie" and her and RR start taking control, as, per them, JB will ruin it.

BUT - JB's cut of film does have good reviews. It's not ruined. But by now, BL has made this HER movie and is intent on doing her cut of it. Refuses to promote if XYZ not done, etc.

So - at end of this I am still not seeing SH as BL claims in her suit. But it feels to me like everyone supporting BL is upset over his "smear" campaign against her and siding on that one point. Not any SH. SH will have to come out in court, I'm just not seeing it. Other people on set will have to convince me of that.

To me there wasn't any "smear" going against BL until AFTER the cast shunned JB. So that leaves the question why they went against JB. I just can't see them and another producer on the film doing that so publicly even if they felt "BL was the real director, not JB and JB acted like an a'hole on set."

Looking through articles today, some excerpts from some:

Brandon on supporting Blake --

Sklenar was the first person in the cast to address the ongoing rumors of a rift between Baldoni and Lively. In a post on Instagram in August 2024, shortly after the film's premiere, the actor supported "Colleen and the women of the cast," praising them for putting their "heart and soul" into making the adaptation, adding that it was because "they believe so strongly in its message."....After Blake Lively filed her California Civil Rights Department Complaint, Sklenar again supported his co-star. He shared a screenshot of the article with a link to The New York Times feature, writing, "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ THIS," tagging Lively with a heart emoji.

And then this week he won't even say Justin's name (says "someone") when asked if he wore that floral pin like Justin had worn as a message, if meant anything... ", 'Oh, damn.' I literally had no idea. I had an idea I wanted to wear like a floral brooch of some kind and that was the color that I liked the best. And, lo and behold, someone also wore that prior to me wearing it."

Theories on why cast avoiding Justin --

Theory 1: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds took over after Baldoni couldn’t handle the job

Theory 2: Being Ryle was too much for Baldoni

Theory 3: It’s all fake

Theory 4: A difference in promotion ideas

Theory 5: Actually, nothing is wrong

Jenny Slate comment for BL -

“As Blake Lively’s castmate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation,” Jenny Slate said in a statement Monday to Today.com. “Blake is a leader, loyal friend and a trusted source of emotional support for me and so many who know and love her.”

She added: “What has been revealed about the attack on Blake is terribly dark, disturbing, and wholly threatening. I commend my friend, I admire her bravery, and I stand by her side.”
