13 cavities with Invisalign

I mean title says it all. I’m now on my retainer versions of my aligners. I brush and floss after every single meal. Make sure to brush and clean my aligners with my toothbrush as well. I don’t drink coffee or tea and the only non water thing I do drink is a crystal light peach iced tea that literally has no sugar in it. I moved a year ago and have only been able to get to a dentist in the last month. During that they did my X-rays and the dentist noted 13 different cavities. I am losing my mind over this, was tearing up at the dentist’s office over how embraced and guilty I feel. I’ve had a history of multiple cavities before but this maybe 6 or 7 years ago after a period of depression where I never brushed my teeth. I try so hard to take care of my teeth now and I just feel like I have messed up somehow. I use a Tom’s of Maine toothpaste if that helps (but have switched over to pronamel) and anytime I have sugar or any meal really I would always make sure to brush after.

Am I just doing something wrong? I feel so lost and awful.

Edit: thank you all so much for your advice and care. I’ve got a better idea of how much I should have my aligners out and how I need to actually wait after eating instead of brushing right away. And I’ll be saying goodbye to crystal light I guess 😞, but I’m going to be so so brave about it hehe
