Stay on topic with posts and comments
The main reason I'm announcing this is for the people who talk about their personal lives on this subreddit.
Look, I get it, we're all a family and all that, but still remember that this subreddit is an intelligence scaling subreddit. There's no need to announce to the whole subreddit if you're taking a break from this subreddit. This is mainly due to the fact that people will talk about non-scd related things in comment threads and posts that aren't even related to SCD and about something going on in their lives, or whatever. So if you're taking a break, or if you're going to delete your account or something, or if you're just leaving the subreddit altogether, there's no need to announce it to everyone. You can DM your friends about it if you'd like, but try not to clutter up the subreddit with personal matters.
I'm not trying to be apathetic to anyone's situation, I do care about this subreddit as you're all people I have known since the beginning. If you'd truly like to vent about your situation, try and do it in the subreddit's discord. I'm also working on adding a public chat channel for this subreddit, so be ready for that too.
The only exceptions to this rule are people who're actively doing something on this subreddit that requires you to announce your temporary leave or anything else. For example, the Swinder's Game, if there's a delay or if Spino has a temporary leave, he's allowed to announce it so that people who are in the game know for any pauses or delays. Moderators are also exempt from this rule, as if one of us is taking a break, we would have to announce it to the subreddit so that people know which mods are inactive and active and which mods to message or notify if you ever want to report anything.
But if you're just a regular member, then there's no need for you announcing anything.
I've been getting multiple DM's from people who're reporting these types of irrelevant personal conversations (the comment threads are notorious for this). And it does technically count as irrelevance/spam, so I'll have to enforce this.
Just remember rule 2. Thanks for understanding.
