3 Years Captive, Is It Time For Change?

Hey everyone, I’ve been watching the discourse and dialogue here regarding captive vs brokerage so I figured I’d ask about my situation and see if it’s maybe time for something new.

I have been working captive for Allstate for Georgia for 3 years in January. In this past 3 years I’ve done better than I thought I would, exceeding 6 figures for the first time in my life. However, I’m worried that things are going to get pretty difficult for Allstate in Georgia very soon.

Just as many other Allstate agents have, we’ve done the CWC training and like others have said it is getting very repetitive and people simply do not care about “value” right now and it’s hard to convince them otherwise.

I’m wondering, since it’s been over 3 years is it time to maybe consider something different? Possibly a brokerage? I work full time from home and would definitely stay working from home, but that does seem to be something that wouldn’t be an issue as many insurance agents stay working fully from home for a long time.

I’m not sure, let me know what you think. Any advice or those who have been in similar situations if you have any takeaways or words of wisdom let me know.
