Why Rockstar game launcher sucks?

I I just wanna know why the rockstar launcher is soo slow? It took like a minute to launch RDR2 for no reason, the game used to launch almost immediately when I used the pirated copy for benchmarking 2 months back for my new laptop. Couldn't they just use steam launcher instead?
