Do Indians don't like to read Indian authors?

So do we Indians don't give Indian authors a try? I am talking mostly Indian authors writing in English. Do you find them below par or is there something else. I see only a few indian authors making it big. I also used to read western authors but recently have consciously tried to read some lesser known Indian authors. What is your opinion?
