Indiana U, Kelly School of Business and "Pre-Admission"
Hi there,
My daughter just received notice that she's "pre-admission" to Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. It receives very high ratings (as high as #8 by some sources) so she's a little bummed she didn't get accepted directly.
However, it's my understanding that if she accepts under pre-admission, she takes some business classes in year one and if she gets all Bs or above, she's "guaranteed" to get into Kelley.
Is that true?
If it is, I have a lot of confidence in my daughter. Straight A student, hard worker, not a goof off. However, curious if there are any landmines here and if yes, how would you avoid them? I don't love the idea of paying an arm and a leg for this, she doesn't get in, and then possibly has to go through the hassle of possibly transferring to another school.
All thoughts / comments welcome.
Thanks in advance!
