Heading into 2025 with losses.

I think we can expect some positive movement in the next few months. People were expecting a straight bull market when prices rose rapidly. However, prices don’t continue rising at the same pace as they fall during a correction phase.

I minimised some of my losses. For instance, I made a significant investment in Tata Motors, but when I saw better opportunities, I decided to book the losses. It turned out to be a good decision because the stocks I invested in afterward were growing when the market was positive few weeks ago. I did the same with some other stocks.

The point is, you shouldn’t stay invested in a stock just because it’s a good company that will eventually deliver returns. Timing matters. You should have an idea of how long it will take.

I saw a post asking for advice about booking losses in Tata Motors and investing in another stock. Most people advised against it, saying it’s a good company. While I agree it is, if you can get better returns sooner from another stock, why keep waiting on the one you’re already holding?
