tips on how to survive IloIlo?

Hello ! I'm an 18 year old upcoming freshman at CPU this coming school year and it's going to be my first time living alone. Can anyone give me tips on how to survive? I'm from Aklan but can barely speak and understand Aklanon which I feel like will be a problem for me.
