No heartbeat at 8 weeks

My wife had a FET on Christmas, and later scans showed a good growth and heartbeat was fine until 6 weeks. We have been so happy about all this after many failed attempts of IUI. Today however TVS showed no heartbeat, we have been crying since last two hours, this us such a devastating news. On the way home we saw Homeless people with many children, all we could think about why is, what did we do to deserve this. I even took a picture of us to record our journey and gift her on the day baby arrives, but everything is shattered to pieces.
