Timing My Frozen Transfer Around Travel—Is There Any Flexibility?
I have a few frozen euploid embryos, but I’m holding off on a transfer because I have a trip in late March. Bringing all the meds and doing injections while traveling just isn’t practical, so I was planning to start with my April cycle. The problem is, it looks like my period might come before I’m back, which could push everything to May. Canceling the trip isn’t an option: my family doesn’t know about the IVF, and backing out would cause more drama than it’s worth. I know logically that one month doesn’t make a difference, but waiting already feels so hard, and another delay seems unbearable. I’m in the UK if that makes any difference—would I be able to shift my cycle a bit so I can still go ahead in April, or do I just have to wait for my period to show up? This will be my first frozen transfer, so I have no idea what to expect!
