Oh, the pesky SCH…

Hi all, I’m 5w5d today and was greeted by a gush of blood when I used the bathroom this AM. Mild cramping started not long after. Cue tears and despair and “this can’t be happening again.”

Our clinic thankfully had room for us to come in early for an ultrasound. We were supposed to have one on Friday at 6w - so much for that! At the appointment, they were able to visualize baby’s yolk sac and fetal pole, super tiny, super cute. 🥲 They also observed the SCH behind the bleeding. Apparently it’s in a “good spot,” whatever that means!

So far, I’m on pelvic rest - no thrusting allowed!

Since this morning, I’ve had on and off cramping and am still bleeding, not filling a pad or anything, varying between brown and darker/rusty red. TMI for sure, but I wanted to document this part of my journey in case anyone else is obsessively googling like I am.
