2024 Windshield cracked easily

I've had my 2024 Calligraphy less than a week and my windshield got cracked by a pebble this morning. It was a light impact, one my old Sonata could take without flinching. I'm now having to get it replaced because it spread out a little and it's inside the glass, you can't feel it on the outside/inside. Is there an issue with windshields on these models? It was a very light hit.

Also, my insurance is recommending Safelite. How reliable are they? I have no experience with these places, never had a windshield issue before.
