When/where to clean a turkey when biking out to public land from a noob hunter.
I am planning to gravel bike out to a public land area to hunt turkey from my home. It's about a 3 hour ride from my house to the WMA. When/if I ever get a kill, how would you guys suggest I clean it/transport it back home?
Should I put it into a plastic bag and clean it as soon as I get to a proper trashcan at the trailhead, so I only carry the meat with me back to my home? This would be ideal as the less weight on my bike the better, Or would yall suggest I bag the bird in my backpack and ride it back home with me to clean it in my backyard. I am a hunting noob, I apologize if this is a dumb question. Thank you and god bless
