30-06 copper ammo

Hey all. I’ve been deer hunting since I was young and recently feel inspired to try copper bullets. I’ve used lead all my life because my dad swears it’s the best option. We do hunt in very wooded areas and will take 100yard shots. My usual lead ammo (remington core lokt SP 180 grain) is frequently sold out, and besides we have a lot of eagles that feed on gut piles / reduce my own lead exposure. I have a 30-06 Remington woodsmaster 742. Looking for any advice, thank you.
