Just got this game for ps5

Is the only mode for this game the bounty hunt mode? Its fun i’m just confused because it seems like the maps are really huge and they are limited to such a tiny area for such a small amount of players…Also I have played close to 2 hours and have only seen a handful of zombies and I thought a big part of this game were the monsters, where are they at?
