So, how did you guys beat the new boss?

Yes, this is really the team I used to finally kill that rat bastard. It was the only one that survived long enough to do it.

JY because Lightning and his skill can hit all the dice, Bailu for the free revive (which I needed), Huo Huo for buffing, and Nat because she can cure status effects without her burst. And it still took two tries, because I got reckless with SP usage on the first go, and couldn't use JY's skill on the dice in the second phase, so he got stunlocked and killed. Bailu did end up fainting on the second go, but I'd already used her revive at that point, so not too big a deal.

For any desperate players stuck on Aventurine, if you don't have the same 5 stars, you could swap Bailu and Huo Huo for Lynx and Gallager, and JY for Destruction Trailblazer. This isn't a fast method, but it worked, so I don't care.

Seriously, this boss fight was awful. I hate being forced to rely on luck-based mechanics. I don't care if Aventurine is a gambler, the execution was terrible. I haven't raged this hard at a boss since I was a child.

Why couldn't we choose to hit HIM instead of the stupid dice? The Decaying Shadows can't use their Golden Age attack if you hit them enough times to deplete their stacks of Gauge Recollection, why couldn't we have a similar mechanic with Aventurine's stupid dice?

Why does the second phase punish you for using characters that can't hit multiple targets at once? And who's bright idea was it to make Aventurine spam that stupid dice move in the second phase!?
