New construction build - why visit so often?
Stupid question - when building a new construction house, a lot of feedback on reddit is to go visit the construction site often. My response is "ok sure, I can visit it as often as daily, so what now?" I would say the average buyer doesn't know what to look for. Especially when looking behind a drywall, an average buyer knows what's good or bad? An average buyer can spot obvious visual defects, but note I said obvious. Obvious visual issues will likely be caught by either city inspectors or your 3rd party inspector anyways (or more importantly your CM). Furthermore, as my understanding a lot of home building is done in phases - you can have a rough-in before final pass. Therefore, if you are visiting daily and see so many issues with rough-in, that is expected. Thoughts?
