H-Carts on Freight
Am used to dealing with H-Carts of stuff during freight hours when we get in. They’re annoying sometimes but bearable but this was unbelievable…
There were six of these garden long handle tool H-Carts that needed to be sorted and put in…and over 3/4 of it couldn’t go into a home as people don’t buy ten shovels at a time so they were left along the side for half a day.
Fast forward to roughly 2:30 AM and garden recovery is either too busy or forgot about the shit pile along the ground so who gets stuck with sorting all of these into the gaylords for three hours? Yours truly who never works in garden
And when asking the NRM what to do if we run out of room, and if we’d just send the others back on an H-Cart to be dealt with later? Just told we can’t do that and to figure it out….
Thank fuck I was able to do it all and it fit but the cold getting through my gloves and making my fingers numb while getting cut across the cheek by rakes was NOT worth it.
We also were down 3 people last night on our team (one person on vacation, one didn’t show up, and another MIA) and are losing our lumber associate for another job. So yeah…more work with zero room and less people, and they wonder why morale is so damn low 🤔🙄
